My blog is now two years old. Oh, and so am I.
We had a great party where lots of friends came over to play and my grandparents all visited.
I couldn’t contain my excitement when I started to receive gifts.
Mommy made some delicious cake.
I was prince for a day, even though I continued to wear the crown for a few more days.
I’ve been dancing up a storm lately. At home. At daycare. At home. I really loved the Easter card Grandma and Grandpa R. sent me.
At the playground last weekend I rode the teeter-totter for the first time. Wheee!
I’ve been fighting crime in my spare time.
I have taken to eating on the couch.
I hit the terrible twos.
But we still have a good time.
Wow, so many things have happened in the past few days.
Dad went out of town for work, so for a little bit it was just Mom and me here. Then Paw Paw and Gramma Nan came to visit. I have been having a blast. They took care of me while Mom was at work.
On the first day they were taking care of me, mom was upstairs getting ready for work and Gramma Nan was getting me my breakfast. I threw several of my cheerios on the floor, and then I looked at Gramma Nan and said “UH OH” just as plain as day. It was the first word I ever said.
Mom missed the whole thing, and she was a little sad. So I have been cheering her up by throwing my things on the ground and saying “Uh oh” hundreds of times since then. And I scored big points this evening when I grinned at her and said “Mama.” She couldn’t quite believe her ears and kept trying to get me to say it again, but I have decided to make her wait a little while for that one.
Let’s see, what else happened?
Gramma Nan gave me a haircut. She is a professional hairdresser, so I got a great new look. I love it.
Also, my left upper molar has come in. That’s probably why I have been in such a bad mood lately and why I have not been sleeping well. Or maybe not. Who knows.
I tried cabbage for the first time too. It was okay.
Here are some pictures of me from last week at daycare, making and eating some cookies.
Week two in St. Louis was even busier than week one. I tried to be on my bestest behavior because I could tell Mom & Dad were both way stressed. I entertained myself for hours in our hotel room, racing back and forth along the floor.
I was all over the place
I usually slept pretty well (okay, except for a couple times). Since we were all the same room, Mom & Dad kept extra quiet and turned all the lights off so I could sleep better.
Mom works in the dark
Dad & I did lots of walking (and a little bit of cycling) out in the hot sun. Dad got new sunburns everyday, while I worked on my sweet leg tan. We hit the zoo a few more times, as I enjoy spending time with other apes.
Whose feet are bigger?
Finally, last but not least, we moved into our new house!!! Sort of. Well, we’re here, except all we have is what fit in our car. The place is pretty bare at the moment, but that’s kind of good as I have more room to crawl.
My new home
I love this place!
It’s been one heck of a week. We moved (temporarily) into a hotel room in St. Louis and Mom has been working every day at her new job. During the days Dad tries to keep me entertained with various activities, sometimes even pushing me in the stroller while talking on the phone or answering emails from people at work.
Walking in Forest Park with Daddy
So far we’ve made too many loops to count around Forest Park in the bike trailer. We’ve walked and biked all over the Washington University campus, our future neighborhood, my future daycare, the loop, and so on.

Daddy & I have been to the zoo twice and we still haven’t even seen half of it.
Penguins at the zoo
We also went to the Magic House children’s museum. It was super-cool, though most of it was a bit too advanced for me right now. I’ll probably get more out of it in the coming months.
Crazy mirrors at the Magic House
On top of everything else, I’ve been trying exciting new foods, like Clif Bars and Veggie Sticks.

My new favorite activity is crawling back and forth on the floor of the hotel room.

I can’t wait for more of the same in the coming week. I’m having such a blast!
Okay, so I’m not quite one year old yet (my birthday is on Thursday), but that didn’t stop us from partying a few days early! Some friends and relatives came over for a good time.
When it came time for me to eat cake for the first time everyone stared at me while I sat in my high chair. Maybe it made me a little nervous because I didn’t much feel like eating cake.
Well, today I gave the cake another try and this time I loved it!
Anyway, thanks so much to everyone, especially Mommy, for such a great birthday party! Can we have another one on Thursday?

Yesterday went to my great grandma’s house to celebrate her birthday. Nana is 83 now. I’m still zero.
In addition to that, my cousins Caleb and Vivian who live in Texas were visiting too so I got to meet them for the first time.
We had so much fun playing together. Vivian had a box of Barbie band-aids that I just couldn’t put down.
Here’s Nana & Grampy with all three of their great grandchildren.
And here’s Grandpa Bruce with all three of his grandchildren.
I can’t wait to do this again. Hopefully we won’t have to wait an entire year!

Mama thinks I can’t sit up, but I proved her.
I’ve been eating lots of new and interesting foods lately. I really like avocado, millet (is that a real thing?), bananas, carrots. Maybe tomorrow I’ll get to try something new.
Oh, and I loves me some toys.

I’ve been busy lately.
You know, eating.

I learned a new trick. I can blow bubbles with my lips. Here, you can check it out.
Mom and Pop get a real kick out of it. When they giggle at me, it makes me giggle too. I’m a riot.
